Eat and Drink

  • Almost all Thai food is cooked with fresh ingredients, particularly herbs. Plenty of limejuice, lemon grass and fresh coriander leaf are added to give food its characteristic tang; fish sauce or shrimp paste to make it salty.

  • Rice is eaten with most meal. Thai can be very picky about their rice, insisting on the right temperature and cooking time.

  • Thai food is served with variety of condiments and sauces, especially fish sauce with slice chillies and any other dipping sauces for particular dishes.
