BKK - 18: THAI BOXING

The tour is operated 17.00 to 21.00 hrs.

Most of what is know about the Thai Boxing comes from Burmese accounts of warfare between Myanmar and Thailand during 15th – 16th centuries. King Naresuan the Great was supposed to have been a top-notch boxer himself, and he made Muay Thai a required part of military training. Later Thai King further promoted Thai boxing as a national sport until now.

This unique martial art of 'Muay Thai' can be seen in its commercial form throughout the week at two major boxing stadiums, Lumphini, on Sunday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, and Ratchadamnoen, on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Programs generally feature eight bouts, and commence at 6.00 PM.
