The province covers some 5,196 square kilometers, and the
provincial capital is 101 kilometers from Bangkok via the
Petchkasem Highway. The provinces major attractions are the
ancient murals of Wat Kongkharam. In Amphoe Photharam, some 22
kilometers from the provincial capital, the shadow play (Nang
Yai) puppets in Wat Khanon, also in Photharam district. Damnoen
Saduak Floating Market - located some 80 kilometers southwest of
Bangkok, this market sees the daily morning congregation of
produce-laden boats as farmers and small holders trade in
agricultural produce.
