SING BURI
The province was established in 1895 and covers an area of
822 square kilometers. The provincial capital is 142 kilometers
from Bangkok.
Major Attractions
Wat Sawang Arom - a center of Buddha image sculpting
and contains a collection of shadow play pieces numbering more
than 300.
Wat Phra Non Chaksi - The Chaksi reclining Buddha
image is 46 meters long. This is Thailand's largest sitting
Buddha image.
Wat Phikun Thong - the house of Phra Yai Prathanpon
Khai Bang Rachan Park - an arboretum with a monument
depicting local heroes whose exploits in 1765 foiled Burmese
invaders.
