PHICHIT
Phichit dates from the mid 1000's. The province covers 4,531 square
kilometers. The provincial capital is 344 kilometers north of
Bangkok. Phichit contains several historic temples, and is best
known for its annual regatta. Boat races, processions and beauty
contests are staged on every first Saturday and Sunday of September
on the Mae Nam Nan near the provincial capital's riverside Wat Tha
Luang.
